Setting Up SHoutcast DSP Pluggin for Winamp
ok so you got it installed and you can see your "Shoutcast Source", make the changes as shown
in the diagram below:

Note: If you do not have this software yet and installed go back to Step 1 here
Installing Shoutcast DSP Plugin for Winamp where to can also link to the software for
download if needed. http://www.shoutcast.com/download

1. Open Winamp
    a.Go to Options/Preferences
    b.Under Plug-ins Select DSP/Effect
    c.Select "Nullsoft SHOUTcast Source DSP v1.9.1"
    d.Click on Encoder 1 (this sets up the first of 5 encoders, we only need 1 encoder so we won't
    worry about the others right now.
2. Under Encoder type select "MP3 Encoder"
3. Under Encoder settings select: 64kbps, 22.050kHz, Stereo.. (this is what most ppl use, you can
encode any speed, but based on your bandwidth and the stream you have will determine your
settings. More on this in advanced setups later....

Now you want to select the "Input" tab at the top and make the appropriate changes listed and
shown below:

1. Under "Input Device: select "Winamp (recommended)
Good, moving on Now select the "Output" tab at the top and make the appropriate changes
listed and shown below:
1. Set "Output" to OUtput 1

2. Enter your IP address in "Address" only the numbers, not the http://
3. Enter your port number in Port
4. Enter your password for streaming
5. Set "Encoder" to "1", rmember this is the one we setup earlier

Ok now we get to test it!
1. Load up a song or folder etc. in Winamp and start playing it.
2. Come back to the "Shoucast Source" and push "connect" and watch the "status" window. You
should see it connecting then sending bytes.
Note: In the status window, if you have an error in setup and it doesnt connect, it will also show
you.

Thats it for the basic setup. We will be adding more threads dealing with intermediate usage and
some of its functions shortly in the future
